It’s not just you 🚴‍♀️

Running can be a solitary activity considering that there are different pace times for each runner. I might be a little slower than you resulting in separation and my friend running just ahead of me. Words of communication are often inhibited by our running pace. Riding a bicycle by myself can be lonely when I am not riding with a group of friends or fellow cyclists. Thoughts of a flat tire can make me feel alienated seeing that I am several miles from home. Less traffic on country roads makes me feel very aware. However, silence can be a treasure. Words that are less spoken gives us a chance to listen to our ourselves and to hear more clearly. Silent steps trains us how to observe our environment listening to things that are otherwise muffled by busy highways and hectic communication. But perhaps the most important part of silent training is, it gives us time to think about others who may need attention and hopeful restoration.

Solitary running

The things that I think about when I am attempting solitary running are many. It usually starts with how far I am going to run how fast and how much effort do I use. What kind of weather will it be. Possibly raining sunny or windy high or low temperatures makes a lot of difference in the type of running conditions that I will experience.

Running conditions help me decide what type of clothing that I wear. If it’s cold I usually wear gloves with head covering long sleeve shirt and full length shorts. If it’s raining maybe I’ll wear a hat and put on my wet older shoes that I like very much. If it’s hot hydration is very important wearing light colored clothing is optimal and sun screen preferred.

Sunny running

All of the above subjects mentioned above are true when you are solitary running but, the most important part about solitary efforts are the thought that you are not alone. The reason that you are doing this is not just for yourself, but the purpose that it’s not just you. There are many weight loss observers people students that you are running for. Individuals who are inspired by your successful participation in weight loss and fitness. Maybe they want to do what you’re doing. They want to attempt your success concerning weight loss. It’s your community of friends who are watching and waiting for you to come across the finish line. It’s students, teachers, health care professionals, doctors and weight loss prescribers who want you to complete the solitary running. So remember that it’s just not you. 🏃‍♀️
